LUMA

From the Mind of Marlin comes LUMA, innovative illuminated illusions that materialize in a darkened theater as colorful tapestries of light. Celebrating 20 years of performances, LUMA’s Art in Darkness is the latest installation in the ever-changing palette of Marlin’s pioneering work in the field of illuminated arts. Embracing a variety of theater and circus disciplines and blending it with a wide array of technology, a story is told of how a child begins his life fearing the dark and in a dream traverses the spectrum of light found in our lifetime from cradle to grave. If you are a fan of fireworks, holiday lights, glowing pumpkins or candles in the night, you will be entranced and enthralled by the unforgettable imagery of LUMA.

RED- Resident Ensemble Players

This 2010 Tony Award winner for Best Play paints a mesmerizing portrait of abstract painter Mark Rothko as he works feverishly with his assistant, Ken, on the biggest commission in the history of modern art — a series of massive murals for New York’s Four Season’s restaurant. But when Ken begins to challenge Rothko’s integrity, the artist faces the possibility that his greatest achievement could also become his undoing. Vividly capturing the dynamic relationship between an artist and his creations, RED has been hailed as “intense and exciting” by The New York Times and “a stunning new play…the most compelling drama I’ve seen all year” by the Chicago Tribune.

You remember the famous THREE TENORS concerts from the 1990’s and early 2000’s. Domingo, Pavarotti and Carreras, were led by Zubin Mehta in some of the most widely viewed opera performances of our lifetime. We have a much smaller venue than the Baths of Caracalla in Rome, but we’re adding a FOURTH tenor! Join our music director, Jeffrey Miller, and four of our favorite tenors – Gary Seydell, Tim Augustin, Nicholas Simpson and Jeffrey Halili as we see who can sing the loudest, longest and highest!
